For us territory is a homogeneous geographic area linked to it’s values and to its economic system, such as: Como Lake, The Riviera of Ponente in Italy, The Savoia or The Provence in France, The Carinthia in Austria.
Each territory has its original language, in which data and documents are originally written and some languages of translation in which data and documents are then translated.
Each territory can satisfy a series of touristic needs: these needs are generally organised in a two levels menu, e.g. the sports need has as derivate needs trekking, sailing and cycling. Finally each territory has many “points of interest”: these can be values, like places to visit and products which are typical of the territory or services (restaurants, hotels, commercial services): values and services are linked to the touristic needs that the territory is able to welcome.
When in a territorial web site a web user clicks on a first or secondary level need, the site reorganizes its contents to show the values and services which are linked to the selected need.
Then the user can click on the single value or service and visit the page dedicated to it. Each resource value or resource service is presented as a collection of documents (in original language) that can be videos, 3D videos, texts and images.
